Amazon Video: What’s out on Digital this week, June 8-12?
What’s new on Amazon Video from June 8 to 12?
It’s a start to another week, which means you’re looking at the new Digital releases. Is there anything on Amazon Video that’s worth buying this week?
There are only two releases of current movies hitting the digital shelves from June 8 to 12. However, there is a new COVID-style release, as another movie is released to rent at the same time as getting a theatrical release for places that are still open.
We’ll start with that and then move onto the Digital releases on Amazon Video this week.
The King of Staten Island
If you’re looking for a comedy for the adults, The King of Staten Island is a must-watch. At the same time, there’s a drama element to it. Pete Davidson stars as himself in this semi-autobiographical movie.
It’s a chance to learn more about him entering the world of stand-up comedy, as well as some serious moments like losing his father during 9/11.
You’ll be able to rent on Amazon Video from Friday.

For those looking for something to watch with the kids, there’s a new digital release to get this week. Think Like a Dog is out on Amazon Video on Tuesday. It focuses on a 12-year-old computer whizz whose science experiment goes wrong.
He becomes telepathically linked to his four-legged best friend. Together they certainly get up to some mischief, but they also take on an attempt to change the world—well, the world of home and school.
Soul Collector
The final offering drops on Friday. Soul Collector is about a man who goes bankrupt but inherits his family’s South African farm. He decides to start a new life on the farm, but all is not as it seems.
When the man’s daughter befriends the farmhand, she realizes that not all is as it seems. This farmhand is a shaman cursed to collect souls to atone for his evil past. What is to come of the new farm owner and his daughter?
