Even though there isn’t anything brand new coming out Saturday or Sunday, Amazon’s latest original film The Vast of Night is receiving great reviews from critics and audiences. The film just arrived on the streaming service on Friday, so if you haven’t had time to watch it now is your chance! Set in the 1950s, two kids try to hunt down the source of a mysterious frequency they pick up while doing their radio show.
Jimmy O. Yang also released a well-received stand-up special earlier this month titled Good Deal. The actor talks about living with his immigrant parents, Matt Damon, and much more in the hilarious special.
Kristen Stewart’s new film, Seberg, is also available to stream on Amazon Prime Video this weekend. The movie is all bout real-life activist Jean Seberg. While the film did not receive the best reviews, Stewart’s performance has been praised.
If you never got around to finishing Poldark, the entire series is available to stream right now! Other popular new shows and films released in May include season one of Amazon original Upload, the complete series of Alias, Homecoming Season 2, and Rocketman.
What to look forward to:
- Dirty Dancing (1987) – June 1
- The L Word: Generation Q Season 1 (Showtime) – June 1
- Takers (2010) – June 3
