During this episode, Lewis got involved with a mob boss—and it was certainly fun to see Brad Garrett in a different role to the comedic ones we’re used to—Mateo found himself deeper with the Pachucos, and Tiago tries to find the actual person who killed a man and not a scapegoat to quickly solve the murder.
It’s time to delve into the questions that the episode brought up. Here are my five big questions for Penny Dreadful: City of Angels Episode 5.
5. Will the cop’s death be linked to Mateo?
It’s not going to take a rocket scientist to figure out that the cop was killed by a group of Mexicans. In fact, it probably won’t take long for the other cops to realize that the Pachucos were involved. This racist cop was always going after them.
On top of that, someone else was there the night the cop was killed. We didn’t get to see what had happened to her, so there’s a chance that she could talk, spilling the beans about all four people who were there at the time of the killing.
It’s eventually going to get back to Tiago that Mateo was involved. That will also lead to the family finding out about what the cop did to Josefina. This could break but also bring the family back on the same page.
