From April 26 to May 2, there was plenty of movement on the list of most sold Amazon books. The new Hunger Games book was the highest new addition.

Are you ready for a new Hunger Games novel? Many were, which is why it’s not all that surprising that the new novel entered well on the list of most sold Amazon books from April 26 to May 2. There was also plenty of movement and other new additions elsewhere.

The new Hunger Games novel, titled The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, was the highest new addition of the week. Entering in 11th place, I’m sure we’ll see this book climb throughout this week to take up one of the top spots.

Speaking of climbers, though, there were two excellent climbs during the week. They are the two only new additions on the list of most read Amazon books last week, so it’s not surprising to find out that If It Bleeds by Stephen King and Walk the Wire by David Baldacci rose seven and 16 places respectively. They took over spots three and four on the list, with the top two books not moving at all.

With good movement up comes bad movement down. Frank Herbert’s Dune saw the largest drop of 15 places, despite ticking up on the list of most read books. Dean Koontz’s Devoted dropped nine places on the list and Masked Prey by John Sandford, which entered the list the previous week, wasn’t far behind by losing seven places.
