Paranormal Activity 3 and more coming to Amazon Prime this week, April 20-24

This week on Amazon Prime, the streaming service is adding Paranormal Activity 3 and some new movies to rent! Find out everything coming from April 20-24.

Amazon is only adding a few new movies to its Amazon Prime catalog this week, including The Turning and Underwater, which will now be available to rent. The only new addition to the free-for-members catalog streaming is Paranormal Activity 3.

However, now is a great time to catch up on original series like Bosch and Tales from the Loop! Bosch‘s sixth season was just released last week and Tales from the Loop is a compelling new sci-fi series.

Paranormal Activity 3 (2011) will begin streaming on Monday, April 20. The third entry into the popular horror franchise utilizes the familiar found-footage concept while introducing a new story and characters.

Set in 1988, the third Paranormal Activity film is something of a prequel that follows a much-younger Katie and her sister Kristi. We get to see what Katie’s life was like in childhood before she went on to get possessed in the original film.

Unsurprisingly, Katie’s life has always been afflicted by supernatural drama. Her father once caught Kristi having strange conversations with an “imaginary friend” and soon mysterious and terrifying things begin happening around their house.

Also available this week is new movies Underwater and The Turning, which will both become available to rent on Tuesday, April 21. Kristen Stewart stars in Underwater as the member of a crew of underwater researchers who must try to survive after a supposed earthquake seriously damages their subterranean laboratory.

The Turning is based on Henry James’s novella The Turning of the Screw and stars Finn Wolfhard and Mackenzie Davis.
