The Hunt is heading to DVD and Blu-ray in June 2020

Ready for another movie to add to your shelf? The Hunt DVD release date is set for June 2020. Here’s everything you need to know about the physical release.

Universal and many studios had a bad March. Nobody expected theaters everywhere to shut down shortly after theatrical release dates. The Hunt was one of those movies that was quickly affected, and it’s led to a lot of questions about The Hunt DVD and Blu-ray release date.

There’s some great news for those who want to add it to their DVD collection. The Hunt DVD will be released on June 9, 2020. This is about the time expected based on the theatrical release, suggesting that Universal isn’t panicking too much.

What we don’t have yet is a date for the Digital release. The Hunt is currently available to rent on Digital, but many people want to own it. Renting was a halfway measure from Universal allowing fans to watch the movie despite the theaters being closed. Those who rent have 48 hours to watch the movie once they start it, and if they want to watch again, they’ll need to rent again.

In a way, it’s like the movie theaters. You don’t get to own the movie once you see it in theaters. It’s only when it becomes available on DVD and Blu-ray. So, Universal made it possible to bring the theater to your home.

It’s likely that the Digital release will be at the same time as The Hunt DVD release date. It’s also possible that the movie will be available to purchase on Digital about two weeks ahead of the DVD release date. We’ll let you know as soon as we do.

The Hunt has received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences. Audiences enjoy it more than critics, but you might want to watch it before you get The Hunt DVD or Blu-ray.
