Will The Hunt stream on Amazon Prime Video in the future?

Blumhouse is finally releasing its controversial thriller, The Hunt starring Betty Gilpin and Emma Roberts. Will it ever stream on Amazon Prime Video?
Twelve strangers wake up in a clearing with no idea how they got there or what’s in store for them. The Hunt begins with a terrified group of people who begin to realize they’re being hunted by a group of “elites.” Aside from Gilpin and Roberts, the movie also stars Hilary Swank and Ike Barinholtz.
Despite the controversy, a lot of people are still interested in seeing The Hunt— or even because of it. Due to the current pandemic, not many people will risk going to theaters to watch the film. Will it eventually begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video for those who would rather wait to watch it at home?

Unfortunately, The Hunt is a Universal Pictures movie and that means it will probably only stream on HBO, as was the case with previous movies like Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Yesterday, and Ma. The good news is, with Amazon Video Channels, you can sign-up for HBO from your Amazon Prime account and watch everything the cable provider has to offer.
As for when it will show up on HBO, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbes & Shaw took about seven months to arrive on the streaming service which means The Hunt will probably show up around October.
That said, with the COVID-19 outbreak, it is possible that the film could get released to streaming earlier, as we’ve seen with Disney Plus and Frozen II, but best not to count on that slight chance.
