The Rhythm Section is heading to DVD and Blu-ray in May 2020

If you’ve been waiting for The Rhythm Section to reach DVD and Blu-ray, you’re in luck. The movie is hitting shelves in May 2020.

As we look for more movies to watch as so many are being postponed, there are some coming to DVD and Blu-ray. The Rhythm Section is one of those movies, making its way to DVD and Blu-ray in six weeks.

The official release date is May 5, 2020. However, at the time of writing this, the pre-order for The Rhythm Section on Amazon said Apr. 28. It’s not clear if that is a changed date based on the current health situation.

You can currently pre-order on Amazon. Of course, with the current warning of delays, this may affect the release of movies. It’s not clear if this is going to be affected in six weeks time as we have no idea how long the pandemic will go on for.

If you don’t want to run the risk of not getting the movie on time or you just prefer to have movies on Digital, you’ll be looking out for the Amazon Video date. There isn’t one just yet. However, Paramount Pictures usually releases movies on digital shelves about two weeks before the release of DVD and Blu-ray. We can still expect The Rhythm Section towards the end of April.

Paramount hasn’t said it will release movies on VOD early just yet. However, it did recently postpone the release of A Quiet Place II because of the coronavirus pandemic. If this is a prolonged situation, there is a chance more distributors will release their movies on Digital early similar to Universal releasing The Invisible Man among others.

While the reviews for the movie haven’t been great from critics or audiences, Blake Lively has been praised for her performance.
