With the Valentine’s Day release, we’re looking at around May 19 for the DVD and Blu-ray release date. We could see it the week before, on May 12. This would follow Rocketman, which came out on the closest Tuesday to the three-month mark.
As for the release on Digital, it’s a little harder to predict. Some movies were released two weeks ahead of the DVD release but others were released a month before. Box Office successes like Rocketman got the release three weeks earlier, while Wonder Park waited until just two weeks before the DVD. So, we could be looking towards the end of April or the beginning of May for Sonic the Hedgehog.
While critics have been mixed on the movie, audiences love it. This is going to be perfect for families. You’ll certainly want to grab it on DVD and Blu-ray right away.
