Enjoy the music of Rocketman again when it comes to DVD in August 2019

Rocketman, the critically-acclaimed Elton John biopic starring Taron Egerton and Richard Madden, will finally be available to own on DVD next month.

Elton John is a musical legend. He finally has a biopic worthy of his name. Rocketman, similar to last year’s Bohemian Rhapsody, is a look into the difficulties Elton faced growing up and becoming the icon we know him as today.

In my personal opinion, Rocketman is the superior film out of the two musical biopics but if you haven’t seen the movie yet, I’ll let you be the judge of that.

The film focuses on how John was born in a time when his sexuality had to be hidden away behind closed doors and his parents were hardly the most encouraging sort. But his fierce resolve and passionate spirit allowed him to push through and become the man we all know and love today.

Rocketman will officially release on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD on Aug. 27, 2019. If you like to own your movies digitally, you’ll be able to buy it a little earlier on Aug. 6, 2019. The movie is available to pre-order now through Amazon. If you pre-order it, you will be guaranteed the lowest price even if it changes between now and then.

One of the main reasons people purchase DVDs and Blu-rays is for the special features and Rocketman has plenty. The movie will include a special booklet with a message from Elton John himself in addition to more than 75 minutes of extra bonus content including extended musical sequences, deleted and extended scenes, and a sing-along.

Rocketman was directed by Dexter Fletcher and stars Taron Egerton, Jamie Bell, Richard Madden, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Stephen Graham.
