Fighting With My Family joined Amazon Prime Video at the end of January 2020. It’s now on the list of 50 best movies on the streaming service.
Florence Pugh has certainly had some great acting successes throughout 2018 and 2019. I’m sure this year won’t be any different, but for now, we’re focused on one movie from 2019: Fighting With My Family.
The family wrestling dramedy made its way to Amazon Prime Video in January 2020. Now it’s made it to the list of 50 best movies on the streaming service.
Before we get started, I’ll let you check out the list so you can see where Fighting With My Family has landed. You’ll also be able to check out the 49 other movies that are certainly worth watching this weekend.
But why does Fighting With My Family belong here? Let’s start with the fact that this isn’t just a movie for wrestling fans. In fact, you don’t need to know anything about wrestling to appreciate the story and the acting, although there will be moments that stand out for those who watched wrestling in the past and still watch it today.
While there are the odd cliches here and there, that’s part of the alure of the movie. You’ll be able to get past them thanks to the excellent acting, the comedic writing, and the emotional moments. If you haven’t watched Pugh in anything yet, make this your introduction. You won’t regret it.
The movie has also been a hit with both critics and audiences, which isn’t all that common. Fighting With My Family is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 93% score. The audience is slightly lower at 82%, but that’s still great.
