Most sold Amazon books last week: American Dirt enters high

Jan. 26 to Feb. 1 saw movement on the list of most sold Amazon books, including the entry of American Dirt high on the list. Here’s a look at the full list.

There was plenty of movement on the list of most sold Amazon books between Jan. 26 and Feb. 1. As American Dirt entered high, Dean Koontz’s In the Heart of the Fire and Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere jumped up well. Here’s a look at the full list.

The most notable mention is the addition of American Dirt by Jeanine Cummins. It enters the list in first place, knocking both Where the Crawdads Sing and The Last Wish down one place each. Will it keep hold of the position this week? Only time will tell.

Three other new books joined the list, one of them being Lee Child’s latest Jack Reacher novel, The Enemy. With any luck, we’ll eventually see an adaptation of all the books in some way now that Amazon Studios has greenlit the Jack Reacher series.

The list of most sold Amazon books list also saw plenty of movement up and down the list. Dean Koontz takes the top spot for the largest mover, with In the Heart of the Fire gaining 10 places. Celeste Ng’s Little Fires Everywhere gained five spots, which isn’t surprising considering the book is being adapted into the Hulu series.

Unspeakable Things by Jess Lourey saw the biggest movement down the list, losing seven places last week. John Grisham and J.K. Rowling weren’t too far behind with The Guardians and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone both losing four places on the list.
