Finn Wolfhard and Mackenzie Davis lead the cast of the creepy thriller, The Turning. Will you be able to stream it on Amazon Prime Video?
Horror fans haven’t been having the best January between The Grudge bombing and now, unfortunately, it looks like The Turning isn’t faring much better with critics. That said, The Turning has a more popular cast and is sure to appease at least some genre fans.
The film is the latest adaptation of Henry James’s famous novella, The Turn of the Screw. It follows Mackenzie Davis’ character as she becomes a new nanny at a countryside estate in Maine to look after two children, played by Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard and Brooklyn Prince of The Florida Project. Joely Richardson also stars.
Whether you like the movie or not, some will be curious about whether or not The Turning will ever make it to Amazon Prime Video to be streamed free. Sometimes it’s better to skip the cinema trip and watch from the comfort of your own home.
The film is distributed by Universal Pictures, which usually means their movies would wind up streaming on HBO like past films Glass, Happy Death Day 2U, and Welcome to Marwen. However, the movie is also produced by Amblin Entertainment and we’ve seen previous Amblin-produced movies go to Starz. A Dog’s Journey went to Starz and it was also produced by Amblin but distributed by Universal.
Either way, regardless of which premium cable service The Turning winds up at, you will be able to watch it through Amazon Prime with a subscription under Amazon Video Channels.
