Many fans of Midsommar took to Amazon Prime Video at the weekend to check out the movie again, but it wasn’t there. When will it arrive?

Every month, a few third-party movies arrive on Amazon Prime Video. Midsommar is one of the big arrivals in January 2020. You likely looked at the weekend to check it out, whether for the first time or to view again. But you couldn’t find it.

It turns out that the release date was wrong in the initial list of releases. Rather than Jan. 3, the release date for Midsommar should have been Jan. 10. That means the movie is heading to Prime Video at the end of this week.

Releases for these types of movies usually happen at midnight in the local time zone. Sometimes, the release is at midnight ET, which means it could be possible to get it a little earlier in other U.S. time zones. However, it will be at midnight at the very latest in each individual U.S. time zone.

The A24 movie received rave reviews during the theatrical release. When a couple travels to Sweden for the local midsummer festival, they hope for an idyllic retreat with a friend. Instead, they end up at the hands of a pagan cult. Things are about to get violent and weird.

Midsommar is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, holding an 83% score from the critics. The audience isn’t as favorable, but still on the side of positive with a 63% score.

If you’re in the mood for a horror or just a bizarre, entertaining movie, this is a must-watch. You can get it this weekend. Meanwhile, here’s the trailer.
