When will Jumanji: The Next Level be on DVD and Blu-ray?
Loved the first revival of the Jumanji movies? Now you need Jumanji: The Next Level on DVD and Blu-ray. When can you own Jumanji 2 at home?
Hands up if you were sure we didn’t need a revival of Robin Williams’ Jumanji. I was right there with you, and then I watched the movie and was pleasantly surprised. So, I’m sure you’re all like me and want to know when you can own Jumanji: The Next Level on DVD and Blu-ray.
Even though it’s not likely going to be as good (it’s not the surprise the first was), there are still many of the same great elements to the tale. We’ve got Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, Karen Gillan, and Jack Black returning. Nick Jonas will be back, and it looks like he has a slightly bigger role. And there’s the same, great game storytelling mixed in.

This time Spencer is heading back into the world of the game, trying to find that inner strength he gained from the first time. His friends, Martha, Fridge, and Bethany will head back into the game to save him. It’s time to team up again to find a way back out of the game.
But you may be worried about spending the money to see it in theaters. Or you may have seen it in theaters and know you need Jumanji 2 on DVD and Blu-ray. When will that be?
We can look at previous Sony Pictures releases to get an idea, but what better movie to look at than the first one? Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle came to theaters on Dec. 20, 2017, and was released on DVD and Blu-ray exactly three months later on Mar. 20, 2018. We’ll likely see Jumanji 2 get a similar release date, likely out on DVD and Blu-ray on either Mar. 10 or Mar. 17 next year.
The Amazon Video release will likely be two weeks before the DVD release. That’s the way Sony usually operates and the way the first movie worked.
Jumanji: The Next Level is receiving mixed reviews from critics, but that isn’t all that surprising. After all, it doesn’t have the same surprise factor as the first movie. However, the audience score is still excellent on Rotten Tomatoes.
