When will Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle be on Amazon Video/Blu-ray/DVD?

Here is when fans can expect to see Dwayne Johnson, Jack Black and Kevin Hart in Jumanji on Amazon Video and Blu-ray and DVD.

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle is still playing in movie theaters across the country and receiving some positive reviews. I was initially hesitant about another movie remake and was concerned it would be a cheesy production and stomp all over the original that starred Robin Williams. After seeing it, many of my fears have been alleviated, and while it’s a fun flick, it’s not quite the same as the original. That’s not a knock on the remake, it’s just a testament to how well the original was.

While the movie theater is not always the favorite method for film fans to watch their movies, many are opting to wait and catch the movie when it’s available to watch at home. I don’t blame them either because it’s awfully cold this time of year and braving the elements can be a massive turn-off. Not too mention, the rising costs of tickets and concessions can leave many opting to wait for the Blu-ray and on-demand release.

So when will Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle be available on Amazon Video and Blu-ray/DVD?

We don’t have the official release date yet, but I can provide a projected release date based on the typical turnaround time from the theatrical release. The movie was released on Dec. 20 and typically there is a minimum period of three months before it’s released on Blu-ray/DVD. For some movies, it’s a little closer to four or five months while others are a little quicker to hit Amazon.

In the case of Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, we can project a Blu-ray/DVD release date as early as March 20, but it’s more likely than not, to be released in April. The good news, movies are usually available one week earlier on Amazon Video, so fans can pay for the movie and watch from their computer or smart TV a little earlier than those waiting for a hard copy.

When we get a confirmed release date, this post will be updated to reflect the release date for Jumanji. In the meantime, the projected date in late March-April is what we’re anticipating.
