The Kid and what’s new on Amazon Prime Video the week of December 16

The Kid is hitting on Amazon Prime Video this week. Find out what else you can watch the streaming service on the week of December 16.

Amazon has released a lot of great content this month. They’ve gifted Amazon Prime members with several early Christmas gifts in the form of new seasons of The Expanse and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. As such, they don’t have a lot of new content coming out this week.

Now is a great time to catch up on those aforementioned seasons if you haven’t had the chance to yet. Also released last weekend was the 2018 Transformers film, Bumblebee. If you missed it in theaters, it’s a heartwarming film perfect for the family to enjoy.

However, Prime Video is releasing at least one new movie to its massive catalog this week. Chris Pratt’s latest movie, The Kid will hit the streaming service this Wednesday.

    • Vincent D’Onofrio directs this semi-biographical western movie that released earlier this year. It flew under the radar for most people and was panned by most critics. However, many audience-goers enjoyed the film and now you can watch it for free at home.

    The movie follows a young boy named Rio and his sister as they try to escape their abusive uncle. During their adventure, they cross paths with Billy the Kid, a legendary outlaw. Billy is in the middle of his own skirmish with a local sheriff intent on apprehending him and Rio finds himself smack dab in the middle of their conflict.
