Here are eight movies to watch on STARZ this Thanksgiving:
A Dogs Way Home
Just Go With It
Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston really are the best duo when it comes to romantic comedy movies. A plastic surgeon has no luck when it comes to love but finally thinks he has found the one. However, this makes him nervous and he accidentally tells her a ton of lies so she doesn’t stop liking him. He needs his assistant to help him with his new girl so his lies make sense but everything just ends up being more complicated.
Robots
A perfect family-friendly movie and is still enjoyable for everyone of all ages. The movie has a great meaning and teaches a good lesson about the purpose of life.
Rodney dreams of two things, trying to make the world a better place and to meet his idol, master inventor Bigweld. Rodney is also a genius inventor but not as good as Bigweld yet, so he travels into the city in order to work for his idol’s corporation. Everything is not as it seems though because he finds himself opposing the management.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle
Four high school kids get sucked into the video game they found when in detention. When landing into the jungle-set game they discover that they’ve become the adult avatars they originally chose.
It becomes life or death when they realize they have to survive Jumanji or they will die in the real world. To beat the game they must go on a very dangerous adventure which seems almost impossible but they will do anything to not get stuck in the game. The sequel Jumanji: The Next Level will be released next month so this could be a good time to watch.
Brave
Princess Merida is determined to make her own path in life and not follow the one that is meant for her. However, Merida makes an impulsive choice that unleashes chaos on her kingdom. She needs to make it right to save those around her, and now becomes an excellent time for her to put her archery skills to use. This was Disney and Pixar’s first collaboration on a princess movie and it follows a different direction.
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial
We have all most likely watched this classic movie at some point but it is still fun to put it on for the family, especially for the younger ones who perhaps haven’t seen it. A cute alien gets left behind on Earth but gets saved by Elliot (Henry Thomas). Elliot makes the decision to keep the alien hidden. The task force desperately try to find the alien whilst Elliot and his siblings form a significant bond with their new friend.
The Good Dinosaur
This heartfelt movie is about a young dinosaur, Arlo, who gets separated from his family during a huge rainstorm. He is determined to find them again so he treks along the dangerous harsh landscape on his own until he finds feral child, Spot, who becomes his friend. They try to find Arlo’s family together and learn what friendship is about.
Cheaper by the Dozen 2
As a child, this movie was one of my favorites to watch with my family as it provides humor and is great for everyone. Tom Baker (Steve Martin) and his wife Kate (Bonnie Hunt) take their 12 children on summer vacation to a lakeside resort. When arriving they discover that their unit isn’t what they were really expecting so Tom unsuccessfully attempts to repair it. To make matters worse he runs into his old nemesis Jimmy (Eugene Levy) and his large family, resulting in a family rivalry.
