The third series in the franchise focuses on Catherine of Aragon, the first wife of Henry VIII of England. Before she was the wife of a king, she was the wife of a prince, Prince Arthur Tudor of England. Yes, you read that right.

The Spanish Princess takes us through Catherine’s life as a teenager, when she comes to England to marry her prince. What should have been a fairy tale for her turns into a disaster as she loses her husband and is left in an uncertain situation in Henry VII’s court.

You can watch all eight episodes of the series on STARZ right now. Another season has been commissioned, which will continue the tale of The Constant Princess.

If you have time over Thanksgiving weekend, give the two prequel series a chance. The White Queen is the best of the lot, starting the story with Edward IV and Elizabeth Woodville.
