Will The King be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video?
The King is currently impressing viewers. There are high chances that you want to catch it at home. Will Amazon Prime Video ever be a place for The King?
Fans of Timothée Chalamet quickly took to Netflix earlier this month to check out The King. The period drama based on the four plays that cover Henry V of England’s story has impressed critics and audiences. Now you likely want to watch it, but will Amazon Prime Video ever be the place for that.
Sadly, you won’t be able to watch The King with Amazon Prime Video. As the movie is a Netflix Original, it’s not leaving Netflix to be distributed elsewhere. It has its home for as long as Netflix lasts.

Of course, things can change in the future. We could see Netflix and Amazon team up against the likes of WarnerMedia, Disney+, and Apple, but I don’t see that happening any time soon. In fact, personally, I don’t see it happening at all. It’s highly likely that none of the Netflix movies will head to another streaming site at all, especially Amazon’s.
The King is certainly worth a Netflix subscription though, even if you just get the month trial. Chalamet impresses as the young prince who has no interest in becoming king. It’s only when his brother’s life is put on the line that he decides to take more of an interest, and I find that sweet about the character, whether it happened or not in history.
Critics and audiences are both positive about the period movie, although critics less so. It holds a 71% score on Rotten Tomatoes from the critics and 86% score from the audience. This is a movie to check out.
The only place it will be is Netflix. It’s highly unlikely The King will come to DVD or Blu-ray.
