Michael Connelly’s The Night Fire moved up the list to the top. Here’s a look at the most sold Amazon books from Oct. 27 to Nov. 2.

It should be of no surprise that Michael Connelly’s book, The Night Fire moved up the list of most sold Amazon books last week. After its arrival the previous week, fans of Connelly’s excellent writing will have stormed the internet to buy it.

Fans were so excited to find out the novel had been released, it jumped 16 places to take over the top spot of the week. That pushed The Guardians by John Grisham down into second, while Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing moved into third place. The only other book to see positive movement in the Top 5 was When We Believed in Mermaids which moved up a spot into fifth place.

More from Amazon Books

There were six new books to make it to the list of most sold Amazon books last week. One of those is actually a relatively old book. Julia Donaldson’s Room on the Broom saw a surge in sales last week to enter into 19th place for the first time. This may have been linked to Halloween and it’s likel that it will leave the list this week.

An interesting re-entry is Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. The novel made its way back on the list in 13th place, which is quite fitting for the topic of the novel.

There were some relatively big movers down the list. Margaret Atwood’s The Handmaid’s Tale and the sequel The Testaments lost seven and six places respectively. The Dressmaker’s Gift also lost six places, while the first Harry Potter novel dropped seven places.
