John Grisham may have debuted outside the top five, but he climbed up to the top of the list of most read Amazon books last week. Here’s a look.

John Grisham fans may have been disappointed last week when The Guardians debuted just outside the top five of most read Amazon books. That never meant it was going to stay there, right? The book has climbed its way to the top, with the new arrival from Michael Connelly just behind him.

Meanwhile, Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing sadly continues to fall down the list. It dropped two spots this week, with one of the Harry Potter books working its way back up the list. It wasn’t the biggest mover, though.

Stephen King’s The Institute fell six places. It still holds onto the Top 10, but the Harry Potter novels now surround it, seeming to never lose popularity. John Sandford’s Bloody Genius also dropped six spots.

There were very few climbers outside of The Guardians. However, The Dutch House did move up one more place on the list.

Connelly’s novel, The Night Fire wasn’t the only new book on the list. Brent Weeks’ The Burning White debuted in 15th place. There’s time for that to move up the list in the next week or so.

What’s interesting is that When We Believed in Mermaids has debuted on the list. The Barbara O’Neal novel has been on the list of most sold Amazon books for some time, but this is the first time it’s made its way to the most read.
