Will HBO Max become an Amazon Channels add-on?

WarnerMedia has revealed the details of its streaming service, HBO Max. Was one of those where you could subscribe? Will it be part of Amazon Channels?

HBO Max is on its way. WarnerMedia revealed that the new streaming site will be available in May 2020. There is certainly some confusion about how users will be able to subscribe. Will one of those methods be through an Amazon Channels add-ons?

Those who currently access HBO Now directly will be able to gain access to HBO Max immediately. What about if you get HBO Now through Amazon Channels? Sadly, it doesn’t look like you’ll gain immediate, direct access without purchasing the extra streamer.

It’s unclear whether you’ll be able to get HBO Max through Amazon Channels. It would seem a little odd not to offer this. After all, getting through Amazon Prime’s channel add-ons has been successful for HBO Now since its addition. Viewers like to have all their purchases in one place. Offering HBO Max this way will certainly help to offer something for viewers who are upset that they have multiple streamers now to purchase.

According to Slash Film, WarnerMedia is currently in discussions with various platforms. This won’t be just to make access easy for the U.S. subscribers but to also get the platform international. For example, there are high chances that HBO Max will come to Crave in Canada rather than Amazon Channels.

Hashing out the details will also help to determine whether HBO Now customers through Amazon Channels, Apple, and more will be able to get HBO Max for free just like direct HBO Now customers. There’s hope, right?
