Three new books entered the list of most read Amazon books last week. Most of the Top 10 remained the same. Here’s a look at the list from Oct. 6-12.

While there are many new books released each week, not so many make it to the list of most read Amazon books. It’s funny because a lot more new books are sold each week! However, three make it to the list this week, between Oct. 6 and 12.

Like most weeks, the Top 10 from the previous week is mostly the same. Stephen King’s The Institute remains at the top with Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing sitting in second place. The Harry Potter books mostly take up the rest of the Top 10, with just one dropping into 13th place.

The big change was the arrival of John Sandford’s Bloody Genius, which debuted on the list in eighth place. That did mean that The Handmaid’s Tale was knocked out of the Top 10 for the week.

There weren’t many big movers this week, despite the three new books making it to the list. That’s because the other two new books debuted in 19th and 20th place. The Water Dancer by Ta-Nehisi Coates is surprisingly low considering it debuted at the top of the most sold list the previous week and remained in the top spot this week. People have bought it physically and don’t necessarily want to read through Kindle Unlimited or listen through Audible.
