Will Jexi be available to stream on Amazon Prime?
By Mads Lennon
Imagine your phone went from the perfect virtual assistant to a genuine nightmare. That’s what happens in the new comedy Jexi. Can you watch on Prime?
Adam DeVine leads a new comedy film about our addiction to technology and what might happen when said technology turns against you. Jexi is playing in theaters now and while it’s not exactly winning any favors with critics, it appears to be doing alright with audiences.
Regardless, due to its low critical score, you might be second-guessing your decision to go see the film in theaters. Why not wait and watch it when it comes out on streaming? Well, sadly Jexi is not likely to be available free on Amazon Prime. However, it will likely come out on Showtime.
If you already pay for the Showtime channel through Amazon Video Channels, then you’ll be all set. If not, then you’ve got plenty of time to consider subscribing. Jexi is being distributed by CBS Films and previous movies of theirs like Winchester, Hellfest, and American Assassin are all currently available to watch through the Showtime app.

For those of you that already have Showtime, you might be wondering how long you’ll have to wait for this movie to make the move from theaters to streaming. Sit tight, it’s going to be a while.
Previous movies like Winchester and American Assassin took a full year to make that transition. It might be better for you to simply purchase the film or rent it on Amazon Video.
But if you’re content with waiting, you should be able to watch Jexi through Showtime in November 2020.
DeVine stars as Phil, a loner who spends all his time addicted to his phone. But then his phone gets an upgrade that includes “Jexi,” the perfect virtual assistant. As Phil begins to get his life together, Jexi takes a darker turn as she attempts to keep Phil close to her in nightmarish ways.
