When will The Addams Family come to Amazon Video, DVD, and Blu-ray?

The Addams Family is out in theaters. You likely want to add it to your movie collection after seeing it. When can you get The Addams Family on DVD?

Nearly everything from the 90s is getting a reboot. Is it all that surprising that The Addams Family is on the list? The animated movie is currently out in theaters, but when can you own The Addams Family on DVD and Blu-ray?

The reboot is an MGM movie, which helps us figure out a projected DVD release date. We can look at Fighting With My Family and The Hustle for a rough idea of release date, since both of these MGM movies were released earlier this year.

The Addams Family will likely be on DVD and Blu-ray in three months. We’re looking at the middle of January, which sadly is not in time for a Christmas present for the kids as they will certainly love this reboot of a classic.

As for Amazon Video, that will likely come a couple of weeks earlier than the DVD release. It could be possible to get this at the New Year or even at Christmas if MGM thinks about distribution carefully enough.

The Addams Family is a take on the original movies and TV series. Morticia, Gomez, and the rest of the family are heading to New Jersey, where two worlds will collide. As usually happens, the local “normal” people are freaked out by the differences that the Addams Family bring to town. It doesn’t help that their creepy house makes it difficult for the local realtor to sell other houses in the area.

However, they will also likely find friends along the way. Wednesday will have no trouble in that after bringing the dead frogs back to life.
