Last week, The Institute claimed the top spot of the most sold Amazon books. Now it moves to the top spot of the most read books.

Stephen King’s book, The Institute, debuted well last week on the list of most read Amazon books. Who would have thought that it would move up to the top spot this week? That’s what it did! It’s time to look at the top 20.

Like on the list of most sold books last week, the newest Stephen King novel has now knocked Delia Owens’ Where the Crawdads Sing off the top spot. The novel had a good run, and now it’s time for a new thriller to take over the top spot. How long will it last? Only time will tell.

For the most part, the rest of the list has remained the same. That’s the case for most of the Top 10, anyway, only with The Handmaid’s Tale and The Goldfinch moving up a place each, making Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban drop two places out of the top 10.

Most of the movement in the second half of the list is just up or down a couple of spots each. There are two notable books, though. The first is Vendetta in Death by J.D. Robb, which dropped five spots this month.

The second is the only new book on the full list. Save Your Breath by Melinda Leigh enters the list in 19th place. Will it get to keep that positioning or move up during the week? What could knock it out? With a new month of new releases, anything is possible.
