Deadwood: The Movie officially has a DVD and Blu-ray release date. You can get your hands on the highly anticipated offering next month.

The long-awaited Deadwood movie came to HBO earlier this year, and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Now it’s time to get your hands on Deadwood: The Movie on DVD and Blu-ray.

The great news is you don’t have to wait another 10 years! You’ll be able to add the movie to your complete collection next month. The official release date is set for Oct. 8.

Know that you’re already getting it? You can already pre-order Deadwood: The Movie on Amazon, getting the Price Guarantee at the same time. With Amazon Prime you can also get it set out just ahead of the release date when you pre-order, so you’ll get it on the actual day of release.

If you just can’t wait to own it on DVD and Blu-ray, you can already watch Deadwood: The Movie online. It’s available on HBO Now, which you can get with your Amazon Channels add-on as a Prime member. It’s not yet available to buy on digital, and it’s unclear if that’s going to be the case.

Deadwood: The Movie certainly had some big moments it needed to deliver. One of the biggest was tying up the loose ends from the series while being set 10 years after. It certainly managed that, but you’ll want to watch it two or three times to fully appreciate every aspect of the movie.

The movie is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 97% approval ratings from the critics. If you loved the original series, you’re going to want to get Deadwood: The Movie on DVD or Blu-ray immediately.
