Where the Crawdads Sing kept the top spot on the list of most sold Amazon books last week, but there was movement elsewhere. Here’s a look!

Will anything be able to take the top spot off Where the Crawdads Sing when it comes to the most sold Amazon books each week? That wouldn’t happen this week, but there is movement elsewhere. Here’s a look at the list of Amazon books sold between Aug. 11 and 17.

There may be a surprising addition to the list this week. Disney’s Advent Calendar has made it onto the list as a new arrival. The kids have only just gone back to school and parents are already looking at buying advent calendars!

More from Amazon Books

While the Disney Advent Calendar debuted in sixth place, the highest new addition was Toni Morrison’s Beloved. It took over second place, and it would be interesting to see how many people bought it compared to Delia Owens’ book that has been on the list for more than a year now. This isn’t the only Toni Morrison book on the list, either. The Bluest Eye also enters the list for the first week in the top 10!

There are other authors you’ll recognize with new books on the list. James Patteron’s The Inn, Ruth Ware’s The Turn of the Key, and Gregg Olsen’s Lying Next to Me debut with strong results.

When it comes to the movers, The Art of Racing in the Rain was the biggest climber, jumping up 13 spots to third place. This isn’t that surprising considering the movie with Milo Ventimiglia has been released. I expect that we’ll see the book drop on the list next week, as it loses its initial boost.

Daniel Silva’s The New Girl was the biggest mover when it comes to the loss of places. It narrowly remains in the list of most sold Amazon books in 20th place after dropping 16 spots.
