Jessica Jones writer Jenny Klein signs overall deal with Amazon Studios

Amazon Studios has organized another overall deal, this time with Jessica Jones writer Jenny Klein. Get all the details about the deal.

Amazon Studios isn’t slowing down on overall and first-look deals. The latest joining with an overall deal is Jessica Jones writer Jenny Klein.

She’ll be an exciting addition to the streamer. Not only is she known for writing Jessica Jones, but she’s also worked on Supernatural, Cloak and Dagger, and the upcoming Netflix Original The Witcher. She’s now going to work with Amazon to develop Originals for Prime Video.

Klein already has her first project lined up. She’ll be working as the co-executive producer on Daisy Jones and The Six, the rock ‘n’ roll Original from Hello Sunshine. Big Little Lies star Reese Witherspoon is producing the upcoming series, based on the book of the same name.

Book Bub reported the news about the development last year. Amazon will also distribute original music for the series exclusively through Amazon Music, showing the growth in the platform.

Klein certainly has proved her worth and commitment on various shows. She got her start as a transcriber on The ACLU Freedom Files before moving onto Supernatural as a story editor. This is where she gained extensive experience and worked her way up to executive story editor and wrote six episodes.

Since then, she’s worked on a number of projects as writer, producer, and co-executive producer. This also isn’t Klein’s first time working with Amazon. She was associate producer on the Original The Tick, working with Ben Edlund, who also worked on Supernatural.

We’re excited to see what Klein will bring to Amazon with this overall deal.
