Catch the premiere of the new EPIX series, DC’s Pennyworth, chronicling the exciting life of the infamous Wayne butler, Alfred Pennyworth.

We know Alfred Pennyworth as Bruce Wayne’s loyal butler. He has aided Bruce, and Batman, out of many tight corners and close encounters with death. But before he became part of the Wayne family, what was Alfred Pennyworth doing with his life?

DC’s latest series, Pennyworth, will explore just that. The series will air on the premium cable, EPIX. But you can currently stream the series premiere free with your Amazon Prime membership.

More from Amazon Channels

However, if you intend to continue watching the series on a weekly basis, you will need to subscribe to the EPIX add-on through Amazon Video channels. If you sign up for EPIX, you receive a 7-day free trial after which it will cost you $5.99 a month to retain it.

Pennyworth follows Alfred during the beginning of his working relationship with Thomas Wayne in 1960s London. Before going to work for the Wayne family, he was a British SAS soldier.

Currently, critic reviews of the series are mixed. Many enjoy the show for what it is but feel the comic book connection is somewhat pointless. However, it is still early in the series run so that could change as the show evolves. We may even see more iconic DC characters pop up before the first season is over.

The series stars Jack Bannon in the title role, Ben Aldridge as Thomas Wayne, Ryan Fletcher, Hainsley Lloyd Bennett, Paloma Faith, Jason Flemyng, and Ian Puleston-Davies.
