Horror fans are about to have a lively August this year with Shudder bringing out lots of new movies, exclusive titles, a special slasher collection, and the debut of a popular series to their app! If you’re not already signed up for Shudder through Amazon Video Channels, I highly recommend it.

Next month, Shudder will officially launch its premiere of the AMC series, NOS4A2. The show is based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name. At SDCC this past weekend, it was announced NOS4A2 had been renewed for a second season.

If you haven’t been able to watch the series live on AMC, the first episode will debut on Shudder on Aug. 8, 2019. From there, the episodes will appear every Thursday through Oct. 10th.

I recommend checking the show out if you can. It follows the dastardly Charlie Manx, an immortal being and an unorthodox take on vampires, who absorbs the life force of children to maintain his youthful appearance. He will be forced up against Vic McQueen, a strong creative with the ability to find lost things.

Incident in Ghostland (2018)

A woman inherits her late aunt’s home and moves in with her two daughters. While living there, a traumatic event occurs involving a break-in. Sixteen years later, all three women have reunited again once more in the same house where tragedy once befell their family.

Belzebuth (2017) 

• Directed by: Emilio Portes
• Starring: Tobin Bell, Joaquin Cosio, and Tate Ellington

This movie stars Saw actor, Tobin Bell, and Narcos star, Joaquin Cosio. It follows a case of children gone missing that takes place along the U.S.-Mexico border. Initially, it is believed that a child predator or murderer may be behind the incident but then a priest from the Vatican links the kidnappings to an ancient demon known as Belzebuth.

Nightmares on Elm Street: The first 6 movies – Shudder presents a collection of the first six films in the A Night on Elm Street franchise: Wes Craven’s 1984 original masterpiece, followed by Freddy’s Revenge (1985), Dream Warriors (1987), The Dream Master (1988), The Dream Child (1989), Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991).
