With nine Amazon Original series and one Amazon Original movie, there’s going to be plenty of exclusive content streaming on Amazon Prime Video in August 2019. Here’s a look at all the titles arriving throughout the month.
The notable mentions have to be the Amazon Originals. The end of the month sees the arrival of the highly anticipated Carnival Row, starring Orlando Bloom and Cara Delevingne. In a Victorian-set fantasy world, mythical creatures are seeing refuge in a world where humans fear them. They’re forbidden to live their normal lives or love others, but what happens when a human detective and refugee faery find love in a dangerous place?

For those with children, Pete the Cat Season 1, Part 2 will also arrive on the service. During this part of the season, Pete learns that his mom has a famous past, while Grumpy learns that winning isn’t the only way to have fun.
Then there’s Free Meek Season 1, which follows the rapper Meek Mill, who was arrested in 2017 for probation violations. The action led to a national outrage that led to the original case for his arrest being reopened. Meek is now the face for the movement to reform the justice system.
As for the third party content, there are a number of high profile movies heading to Amazon Prime Video throughout the month. Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick’s thriller, A Simple Favor, is heading to the streamer on Aug. 23. Meanwhile, the 1997 beloved movie, The Fifth Element, will arrive at the end of the month and you’ll want to look out for the latest Mission Impossible movie, Fallout.
