Before we get into the actual trailer, let me just say that the look and feel are very much the same as decades ago. Scooby-Doo! is turning 50 this year, but you wouldn’t realize it. The only tell-tale sign is the fact that Mystery Inc. thinks it’s time to shut up shop because they’ve solved all the mysteries in the world. With the same voices and the same animation, you’re immediately pulled into the world of the Scooby Gang.
As for the storyline, the Scooby-Doo! Return to Zombie Island trailer gives us an idea of what to expect. When the Gang thing they’ve solved every mystery going, they decide it’s time for a vacation. You just know that it could never remain that way, right? This isn’t the first time the teens and their trusty dog have taken a break, after all!
The group will head back to Zombie Island, which is a rather apt name for the mystery they’ll unsolve. And yes, the “Return to” part of the title makes it clear they’ve been here before. This is the follow-up to the 1998 movie Scooby-Doo! on Zombie Island, so it’s not all that surprising the teens get a sense of deja vu when they arrive.

It is important to note that you can’t own the movie just yet. As previously reported, the Digital copy will be available on Sept. 3 and the DVD available on Oct. 3. There’s still some time to wait, but the trailer will definitely get you excited about this new mystery.
