With a number of Star Trek shows hitting CBS All-Access soon, Trekkies are in for a treat with the Star Trek Universe hitting Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con.

There is no doubt Star Trek is growing. Instead of just enjoying new movies or reruns of old favorite TV episodes, the universe is expanding to include multiple series of Star Trek.

We get to learn more about all of them at San Diego Comic-Con this year. Star Trek will have a strong presence at the show with a giant panel in Hall H this year entitled “Enter the Star Trek Universe.” This panel is a must-watch for any Trekkie.

Here’s what we know about the panel so far:

  • Date: Saturday, July 20
  • Time: 11:30am-1pm
  • Where: Hall H

Star Trek: Discovery

More from Amazon Channels

Season 3 of Discovery is headed in an interesting direction — the future. At the end of the last season, we left the crew as they went through a time portal into the future in order to save sentient life.

Just how will Star Trek pull that off? That’s what we are going to learn. But there are still plenty of other questions we have too. Given the panel is an hour and a half, hopefully, they will have time to answer all of them.

Discovery star Sonequa Martin-Green will be on the panel with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, and Heather Kadin. Tig Notaro, who plays Chief Engineer Reno, will moderate the panel.

Even though not explicitly mentioned, this might also be the place we get to learn more about the Section 31 series. Section 31 was a major part of the second season and once Discovery split from it, Section 31 was left on the other side.

Picard

One of the most popular characters from Star Trek: The Next Generation is getting his own series. In fact, the poster for the show was just released and features his dog.

The cast members of Picard will be on the panel, including Sir Patrick Stewart, Alison Pill, Michelle Hurd, Evan Evagora, Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, and Harry Treadaway, with Kurtzman, Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, and Kadin.

This will be one of the most interesting parts of the panel because there is so much we don’t know about the new series. It takes places 15 years after Jean-Luc Picard retired from Starfleet. But there is so much more to the story than that.

Star Trek: Lower Decks

Lower Decks is an animated Star Trek series geared more toward adults. We don’t know too much about the series yet, but the panel will include a surprises guests. We can’t wait to see who it is.
