The 2019 summer television season is kicking off with the debut of the CBS blockbuster series, Blood and Treasure. Find out how to watch it live!

With the 2018-2019 television series winding down, it’s time for the summer TV season to kick into high gear. It starts with the new CBS action-adventure series, Blood and Treasure.

Starring Matt Barr and Sofia Pernas, Blood and Treasure is the perfect summer show. Barr plays Danny McNamara, an antiquities expert who partners up with the cunning art thief, Lexi Vaziri (Pernas).

Together, they must team up to stop a terrorist who uses various stolen treasures to fund his grand schemes. Of course, McNamara and Vaziri have a sordid history together which is brought to life through the electric chemistry between the leads.

While Blood and Treasure doesn’t appear to be anything award-worthy, it has high-octane action sequences and an exciting plotline akin to something like The Librarians or The Mummy. The two-hour series premiere will kick-off tonight at 9:00 PM ET/PT and on CBS before it has its permanent time slot premiere next week at 10:00 PM ET/PT.

As for what the first episode will be about, as it does serve as the introductory episode into the series, we can expect it to set up the plot, characters, and exposition. But Danny and Lexi will get to work fast when news of Antony and Cleopatra’s long-lost tomb surfaces and it becomes a race against the clock for the duo to get to it before a ruthless killer does first.

Danny McNamara is a former FBI agent specializing in stolen arts and antiquities. Lexi Vaziri is a resourceful art thief who is haunted by the tragic loss of her father, which she blames on Danny.When terrorist Karim Farouk absconds with a priceless artifact and kidnaps Danny’s mentor, Dr. Anna Castillo, Danny recruits Lexi to help him bring Farouk to justice and rescue Anna. As they crisscross the world hunting for their target, Danny and Lexi unexpectedly find themselves at the center of a 2,000-year-old battle for the cradle of civilization."
