Amazon Channels UK, Germany, and Austria get HISTORY PLAY

There’s a new addition to the Amazon Channels in UK, Austria, and Germany. Amazon Prime subscribers can now get access to HISTORY PLAY.

If you’re a fan of historical programs and live in the UK, Austria, or Germany, you’ll want to pay attention to the latest addition. HISTORY PLAY is heading to Amazon Channels UK, Germany, and Austria, available to all Amazon Prime subscribers in those countries.

It’s an extremely exciting addition, coming directly from the A+E Networks. For just £3.99/€3.99, depending on the country, a month, you’ll get access to all the documentaries and factual shows that HISTORY has to offer. The downside is that it won’t include the scripted dramas including Vikings and Project Blue Book.

If you’re not sure if this is for you or not, there is a free trial available. Users in the UK can get their hands on a seven-day free trial. If you’re in Germany or Austria, you’ll get a 14-day free trial, according to Digital TV Europe. There’s no need to sign up to HISTORY PLAY in the future if you find it’s not quite what you’d like.

Like other Amazon Channels, you will need a Prime membership. However, your payments will be lumped together, so you only pay once a month from the same credit card attached to your file for Prime. You’ll get access to all the Prime Video goodies, as well as the Amazon Channels you sign up to.

HISTORY PLAY is the latest addition to 70 other Amazon Channels available. There’s no word on exactly when the channel is being added, but you’ll see it in your list of available channels through your Prime account. You can watch through all methods you currently use Prime Video.
