March 2019 saw five movies enter the list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video. The Domestics is the last to make it onto the list and here’s a look at where it makes it.

The Domestics is the fifth and last new movie in March to enter the list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video. We’ll have a new list in April, but for now, it’s time to look at where this post-apocalyptic movie makes it and why it deserves to be on the list.

Set in post-apocalypse America, the movie is focused on a married couple, Mark and Nina West. All they want to do is get to their current location to a safe haven, but that means going across a lawless country. Since the chemical weapon attack, the land has been split into themed gangs and non-hostile people known as “The Domestics.” Based on the title, I’m sure you can guess where the Wests belong.

This is one of those dystopian future movies that you can get behind. It’s a stark look at the world after an apocalypse, a realistic touch on the actions of people when the norm is no longer the status quo.

At times, there are certainly moments that are completely loony and will make you question every aspect of humanity. And that’s part of the fun of it.
