Apple TV+ takes on Amazon Prime Video

More from Amazon

Earlier in the week, Apple revealed its Apple TV+ subscription. While there’s no price yet (some are saying that HBO, STARZ, etc. may be available for just $9.99 per month each) it’s certainly clear that Apple is looking to take on Amazon Channels.

However, the news includes Amazon Prime Video. It’s possible that the streaming services will combine in a way, making it possible to sign up to Prime Video through the Apple “Channels.”

Get a $10 Prime Video credit

Want to save a little bit of money? Mashable shares that Amazon has brought out a new deal. If you get two Amazon Fire TV sticks, you’ll get a $10 Prime Video credit on your account. Why get two? You’ll be able to watch your Prime in two different rooms at the same time.

The offer comes in with perfect timing for the new seasons of The Tick and Bosch dropping on Amazon Prime Video. You can also watch your Amazon Channels subscriptions too, which means perfect timing for Game of Thrones returning to HBO for its eighth and final season.

Amazon Studios and JAM Media team up for preschool series

Just this week, Amazon Studios and JAM Media announced a planned team up. The two will bring a mixed-media series for preschoolers, which will initially see episodes released at the end of 2019. The show will be called Jessy & Nessy and focus on both live-action and animated content for young viewers.

Animated World Network shared that Jessy is the heart of teh show, an inquisitive and fun-loving six-year-old. She sees the world differently through magical glasses (known as “Inspectables” by Jessy) and that means animated characters come to life. Nessy is one of those characters and, together, the two will explore curiosities of the world for preschoolers to learn.

Nessy is a 5,500-year-old sea monster, by the way. JAM Media is an Irish media company, which may offer some insights into the idea behind the mystical creature. New episodes will be released in 2020 and 2021 after the initial drop.
