It’s Friday night and that usually means a night of fun, action-filled CBS shows. Blue Bloods is always the highlight of the week, but is it on tonight, Mar. 22? What’s going on with the CBS schedule?

Hands up if you have a love/hate relationship with the CBS schedule right now. I don’t blame you! One week we’re on and the next week we’re off. So what is it this week? Is Blue Bloods on tonight, Mar. 22?

I’m sad to say it’s not. However, this time I can say that it’s an annual thing and has a better excuse than just “scheduling for the finale.” It’s March Madness, so CBS is filled with the basketball games. March Madness lasts for two weeks, so there are no episodes of Blue Bloods this week or next week.

The excellent news is that new episodes will return on Apr. 5, 2019. It can seem like a long time right now but there really isn’t too long to wait.

When the show does return, it’s with the episode titled “Rectify.” Frank has to make some tough decisions when Officer Witten’s backup is unable to keep up with a chase physically. Is it time for more rigorous testing of fitness levels for the NYPD? It certainly seems like it.

Meanwhile, Danny is given a cold case to pursue. However, he’s put off from the original detective. Just what type of history will he have with this individual? While that happens, Anthony wants Erin to stall a murder trial. He needs to gather more evidence to make sure the perp goes down, but will she be able to help?

There’s no trailer for the all-new episode yet, but keep a close eye on CBS. One will likely be released next week if it’s not released later today to get you ready for the April return.
