Cold War and I Can Only Imagine are just two of the movies making the list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video in March 2019. Learn more about them!
Every now and then, the list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video is updated. Last month only saw one new entry, but March 2019 will see five movies make it to the list. They’ll be added as the movies are released on Prime Video.
Cold War is just one worth adding to the list and a Prime Original, so won’t be going anywhere. Others may exit the service at a later date, so you’ll want to make sure you check them out while you have the chance. I Can Only Imagine and Colette are just two of the new additions to look out for.

The Prime Original film, Cold War, received three Oscar nominations. While it didn’t win any of them, it’s still a standout movie that you need to check out. Spoken in Polish, this black-and-white filmed movie tells the story of two people on opposite sides of the Cold War with different social stature and ideals. Can they make their love work?
If you’re looking for a dystopian future movie that’s a little more adult than the likes of The Fifth Wave, then you’ll want to check out The Domestics when it drops at the end of the month. Supergirl‘s Tyler Hoechlin and Kate Bosworth star as a couple trying to get across the country to a safe house.
The 1973 version of The Crazies is currently on Amazon Prime Video and is being added to the list as I type. Set in a world where the water supply has been tainted, we see just how the townspeople react as they all start to become infected. It stars Lane Carroll, Will MacMillan, Harold Wayne Jones, Lloyd Hollar, and Lynn Lowry. There has been an updated version but this is the one you want to watch.
I Can Only Image is also on the list of 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video. Starring J. Michael Finley as Bart Millard, it tells the story behind the song of the same name. Millard, who had suffered physical and emotional abuse from his father, decided to pen a song about the events as a way to help mend that relationship with his father, who tried to find redemption after becoming terminally ill.
Finally, it’s all about Colette, a movie about Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette. After moving to Paris, she agrees to ghostwrite her husband’s semi-autobiographical novel. However, she soon fights to gain creative ownership of the work and fights to overcome the constraints the early 20th century put on women. Starring Keira Knightly in the titular role, it’s not entirely surprising this made waves in 2018 for its timely content.
Keep an eye on the 50 best movies on Amazon Prime Video, as it’s updated regularly. There will be individual posts to highly when the change has been made so you can check out the placements on the list. Here’s when the five movies are released on Prime Video.

Cold War: Mar. 22
