When will The Red Line premiere on CBS?

THE RED LINE two-hour series premiere airs Sunday, April 28 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The series will broadcast in two-hour installments across four Sundays. The Red Line, a new drama coming to CBS, has an official release date set. So when will The Red Line premiere on CBS?

CBS has announced its midseason premiere dates and among them is the official premiere date of the upcoming drama The Red Line. So what do we know about the drama and when will The Red Line premiere on CBS?

Starring Noah Wyle, Howard Charles, Noel Fisher, Emayatzy Corinealdi, and Elizabeth Laidlaw, The Red Line is a drama which focuses on the lives of three different families living in Chicago. When an African-American doctor is mistakenly shot by a white police officer, the stories of these families begin to intersect and intertwine with one another. As the stories develop, intersecting and intertwining with each other more and more, a message of hope soon begins to emerge for all to see.

A message of hope that says you can emerge stronger from a tragedy. But, in order to survive and come out stronger rather than just thriving, it’s important to come together with others. In a sense, it feels a little like This Is Us and God Friended Me.

Greg Berlanti and Ava DuVernay are the brains behind The Red Line. With Ava DuVernay, an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Emmy Award nominee, acting as an executive producer for the series. You know with these two at the helm, it’s a series worth watching.

CBS has scheduled The Red Line to premiere on Sunday, April 28, the week after God Friended Me has aired its season finale. However, it will be unlike most TV shows.

The Red Line will air in two-hour installments. Every Sunday, for four consecutive Sundays, the new feel-good series will air from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm EST. Noriko Kelley, Executive Vice President, for CBS has described The Red Line as a show that fans will want more than one episode of, which is why the network has made such an unusual decision.
