Which country’s Amazon Prime is more valuable? Who has the cheapest membership? You may be surprised by the results.

Amazon Prime UK members get the best bang for their buck. That’s what a recent study by Comparitech has found out, looking at each of the subscriptions across the globe. While the United States users pay the most, even when exchange rates are taken into account, the value for money is certainly worthwhile.

Users in the UK have the most cost-effective method of getting Amazon Prime. While most countries will only offer Prime, the UK offers Prime Video as a separate service if you only want access to the TV and movie streaming. Think of it more like Netflix. And it’s available for the low cost of £5.99, which is about $7.86 USD.

On top of that, the UK customers also get the second largest library, with more than 11,000 movies and TV shows available. The U.S. customers pay almost 3% more per title when exchange rates are taken into account and when UK customers only get Amazon Prime Video memberships.

Unsurprisingly, the USA offers the next best value for money. While it may be the most expensive membership available, the amount of content available supersedes everywhere else. This isn’t that surprising since it’s a U.S. company getting mostly U.S. content. There’s more than 18,000 movies and TV shows available through the service, with more added each month.

However, when it comes to the lowest cost, Indian customers win. Amazon Prime Video India is just $1.76 when the currency exchange is considered. This is only available with the full Prime membership, similarly to the likes of Canada, the United States, and many other countries. While there are only around 2,000 items in the library, the low cost makes it the third best valuable service around the globe.

Meanwhile, Singapore offers the least value for money. It costs an equivalent of $6.54 USD per month but has less than 1,000 TV and movies. It’s also only available with the full Prime service.

You can see the full results at Comparitech. This is only about Prime Video and doesn’t include all the other services available through Amazon Prime.
