Will Role Play come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Amazon has a new movie to check out on Prime Video this weekend. It’s all about Role Play, which looks like a great option while waiting for the Mr. and Mrs. Smith series next month.

Kaley Cuoco and David Oyelowo star as Emma and Dave. They seem like the perfect couple. They have the house, the kids, and the jobs. So, what’s missing? Well, it’s something in their bedroom life.

The decide to spice things up by roleplaying as strangers one night. Naturally, that turns into something hilariously dangerous for them. When they find out that the man buying them drinks all night has been murdered, they end up becoming the prime suspects. Emma goes on the run while Dave is taken by the police. It’s then that he learns his wife isn’t everything she says she is.

Will Role Play come to DVD and Blu-ray?

Is there a chance that we’ll see the Amazon Original Movie head to DVD and Blu-ray? This is unlikely, but never say “never.” We have see the odd Amazon release hit DVD and Blu-ray, even the big releases. Just look at Bosch, Jack Ryan, and The Boys.

However, there isn’t a need to release the content on DVD. This could take some people away from the streaming platform. It’s unlikely that it will as people still need a way to watch the movie on the go, but most streamers don’t release their content on DVD and Blu-ray.

What about a Digital release? This is highly unlikely. This does take people away from the streaming platform as it offers a way to watch on the go without the monthly subscription. So, don’t expect to see Role Play available to buy or rent on Amazon Instant Video.
