When is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 finale on Prime Video?
The most highly anticipated TV show of the year is back. It’s been all about The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2.
No matter how much people moaned about the first season, they were always going to watch the second. After all, isn’t that the way of most fandoms? We moan and still watch? This show is worth watching purely for the amazing graphics that really are artwork on our screens.
Don’t worry about spoilers here. We’re not going into the episodes that have come out. What we will share is that this season is all about the rise of Sauron. Galadriel figured out who he was in the first season and people turned against him, but he’s finding a way into their minds to get what he wants: total power.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 finale date
The Prime Video series is getting a hybrid release model. The first three episodes are now available to binge-watch, but the rest of the season will be released weekly. This is the way most of the big releases are happening on Prime Video, and it’s the way the first season was released.
Amazon has set the finale date for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2. Get Thursday, Oct. 3 in your diary. This is when you’ll be able to binge-watch the whole series. It’ll certainly be worth rewatching each of the episodes during those first couple of days of October.
Is The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3 happening?
While there isn’t an official order for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 3, work has started on the season. J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay have already started to plan out the storylines. They are the two who have used the appendices to understand more about the Second Age in Middle-earth and bridge that to the original writing.
We’re sure to see Amazon renew the show, but the delay will mean a delay in production. This could push back a release to 2027 or later! Hopefully, the renewal comes in sooner rather than later.
