When should Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes come to DVD and Blu-ray?
The Planet of the Apes franchise continues to grow in exciting ways. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is the latest movie out in theaters, and fans are loving it.
This movie picks up years after the reign of Caesar. A young ape heads out on a journey that leads him to question everything he knows about the past. He has to make choices that will have an affect on the futures of apes and humans, but is it in the way that anyone else wants?
It’s an interesting look at the way the victors shape the world. It’s the victors who decide how history should be told, and that’s not always a good thing.
When could Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes come to DVD and Blu-ray?
Of course, the movie is only just out in theaters. That means a DVD release date isn’t set yet, but we can make a prediction based on the releases of previous movies from the same studio. This is a 20th Century Studios movie, so we’re looking at A Haunting in Venice and The Creator to get an idea.
It took both of those movies about two and a half months to go from theaters to DVD. They were both at the end of 2023, so we’re looking at something similar for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes. That would suggest that we’re looking at the movie coming to DVD and Blu-ray around the end of July. If we had to put a date to it, we’d say Tuesday, July 23 or Tuesday, July 30.
The Digital release is sure to be much earlier. It only took around a month and a half for the other two releases to head to Digital. With that in mind, we’re looking at around Tuesday, June 25 or Tuesday, July 2 for Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes to come to Digital.
