Is Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on Amazon after theaters?
The Planet of the Ape franchise is one of those people tend to love or hate. Well, it’s time for the franchise to grow a movie further. Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is now out in theaters.
The latest movie follows the story of a young ape on a journey of discovery. It’s years after the reign of Caesar, and this young ape is full of wonder and awe. He’s also full of questions, willing to learn the truth about the past.
There’s a great message in the synopsis. We need to understand the real history to really get to the heart of the problem. Only by remembering the real history can we make sure it doesn’t happen again. Only then can we make choices that will help grow the future, and this young ape wants to that for apes and humans alike.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is not coming to Prime Video at first
There is some bad news for those hoping to use their Prime membership to be able to watch this movie. It is not going to head to Prime Video as its first streaming home.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes is a 20th Century movie. This studio is now owned by Disney, and it’s likely that the movie will head to Hulu, the Disney-owned streaming service. That’s just the first streaming home. We could see it head to another in the future, although that’s rare with Disney releases compared to other studios and streamers.
Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes will come to Amazon Video
There will be another way to watch the movie. 20th Century movies do head to Digital after their theatrical releases, so we’re sure to see this movie on Amazon Instant Video in the near future. This could be in as little as a month or two.
Digital releases make it possible to watch the movies whenever you want without the need to keep a subscription service going. You pay once and you can watch when you want for as long as you have your free, regular Amazon account.
