What is THEM: The Scare on Prime Video about?

Can you believe it’s been three years since THEM: The Covenant came out? It’s finally time for the second season of the anthology horror series. It’s all about THEM: The Scare.

Of course, you need to treat this series like the first season of a new show. It’s an anthology, and there is no word on any sort of connection to the first season of the series. It could be that this anthology horror will eventually become a little like American Horror Story where the seasons are interconnected, but it could also be that this series keeps each season separated.

When is THEM: The Scare set?

While the first season was set in the 1950s, the second season is jumping a few decades later. The show is jumping from 1952 to 1991, but it is still set in Los Angeles County.

This time, we follow Dawn Reeve, an LAPD homicide detective who ends up assigned to a gruesome murder of a foster mother. Even the most hardened detectives are shaken by this case, and it’s going to be up to Dawn to see past the horror and find the person who did it.

At the same time, Los Angeles is on the brink of chaos. Think of the time period and what happened in LA just a few years later than this season is set. Dawn needs to navigate the murder and general LA, which means she’s always on her toes.

Is it safe inside in Them Season 2?

Like the first season, this isn’t just about human nature and horror. THEM: The Scare will still include something malevolent. There is something that threatens her family, and she will need to do what she can to protect them.

The question for many, like with the first season, is what do you do when it turns out your home isn’t the safest place you can be? What if it’s the most dangerous place?
