Trap is out in theaters right now. While the end credits are definitely worth sticking around for to see everyone involved in the creation of the movie, are there scenes to stick around for?

Trap is the latest M. Night Shyamalan movie currently out in theaters. Are there any end credit scenes to stick around for?

Like with any Shyamalan movie, there is a twist. You’ll want to check out the ending explained post to get those spoilers. We’re not getting into them here.

Instead, we’re looking at whether the credits are something to sit through. Now, I do say that you should sit through the credits. This is where everyone involved in the creation of the movie is listed. They do get a little long, though, and you may have teens who just want to go. Are there scenes to make the wait easier?

There is one Trap end credit scene

There is one scene during the credits, even though this isn’t the norm for an M. Night Shyamalan movie. This is just after the initial string of credits that give the names, and it picks up on a story thread from earlier in the movie.

If you don’t want to know what the scene is, you can stop reading now. Once you get to the end of this scene, that’s it for end credit scenes in Trap.

Here are spoilers for the end credit scenes.

We head back to Jamie, the concert employee who is now at home watching the news. It shares the arrest of The Butcher, with the news reporting that it’s Cooper. Jamie realizes that he had been talking to Cooper while at the event. Not just that, but he was certain that Cooper wasn’t the Butcher and shared a lot of information about why the FBI was there and the code word given to employees in his section.

This is surely a lesson for Jamie.

It’s not a set-up for a sequel. It turns out that this post-credit scene was more of an after-thought to add some comedy to the end of the movie.
