Trap DVD release date predictions: When could the horror movie head to DVD?

M. Night Shyamalan is back with another horror movie with a twist. Josh Hartnett stars in Trap, which is currently out in theaters.

Of course, you want to add the horror movie to your DVD collection. This one brings us the story of a man who takes his daughter to a concert, only to find out that it is a trap to capture a serial killer. That serial killer appears to be the father, and he needs to figure a way out of the situation while he has a man captured in what seems to be his basement.

With the movie only just out in theaters, it doesn’t have a DVD release date just yet. The good news is we can take a look at the movie studio to see when we should expect it.

Trap DVD release date predictions

This is a Warner Bros. movie, so we’re looking at recent releases from the same studio to get an idea of when we can expect this one. For this, we’re looking at Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and Challengers.

Challengers came to DVD and Blu-ray around two and a half months after the theatrical release. Furiosa is set for release on DVD at just short of three months after the theatrical release. We could be looking at Warner Bros. slowly moving back to the 90-day exclusivity window for theaters, which suggests that we’re looking at something similar to Furiosa.

With that in mind, we’d predict Trap will come to DVD and Blu-ray around Tuesday, Nov. 26.

What about a Digital release? That tends to be much sooner than the DVD release. It took around three weeks for Challengers and a month for Furiosa. With that in mind, we’re looking at Trap coming to Digital around Tuesday, Sept. 3, so you can buy or rent to watch at home.
